Hebrew birthday calculator: when is your Hebrew birthday this year?
Find your date and its next anniversary. If the birth was after sunset, the calendar date may differ. If you do not know, we keep both possibilities.
It stays on your device: your date never goes in the page address, is not stored and is not sent.

What this tradition says about you
The Hebrew tradition does not use your date of birth to describe your character. The Talmud (Shabbat 156a) records a debate about the weekday of birth, including the view that “Israel is not subject to the stars”: we present it as a debate, not as traits.
How to read it
The Hebrew calendar is lunisolar: months follow the moon, and a leap month keeps the year close to the seasons. In a leap year there are two months of Adar.
The day begins at sunset. That is why a birth after sunset belongs to the next Hebrew date.
A little history
The month names came into the Hebrew calendar from Babylonia. Tishri, for example, derives from an Akkadian word associated with a beginning.
The arithmetic calendar used today sets in advance when each month and each leap year falls.
Questions
I was born in Adar. When is my birthday in a leap year?
Customs vary. We follow the rule documented by Hebcal and say so; your community may follow another custom.
What if my date does not exist this year?
Some months have 29 or 30 days depending on the year. We apply the documented rule and show it.
Is my date stored?
No. It is worked out on your device, never goes in the page address and is not sent.
